Andrea Bell of Kentwood Real Estate to Host Fundraising Event to Benefit Clothes to Kids Denver Charity
DENVER, CO – November 22, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Andrea Bell, a leading real estate professional with the Kentwood Company at Cherry Creek, is co-hosting a fundraising event with a personal friend to benefit the Clothes to Kids Denver (CTKD) charitable organization on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 3-5 p.m. CTKD is a registered non-profit 501(c) charity which provides new and quality used clothing to low-income school-age children in Denver County free of charge.
“During this season of giving, please be our guest to learn more about the fabulous CTKD organization,” said Bell. “Providing children with a wardrobe that makes them feel good about themselves will in turn boost their self-esteem and give them a better chance of succeeding in school and in life. Pledge cards will be available at the event along with a representative from CTKD. The pledges will be turned in December 6th and donations are eligible for the Colorado Gives matching funds. Please help use support this very worthwhile organization.”
CTKD operates out of a cheerful, friendly “store” where kids can “shop” for their own clothes. The charity provides each child with a week’s worth of clothing, including five tops, four pairs of pants, a coat, five pairs each of underwear and socks, and a pair of shoes. Kids are able to shop twice a year. CTKD operates primarily on donations of good quality, gently used clothing. Socks and underwear distributed are new.
The fundraising event will include hors d oeuvres and festive cocktails. A $20 donation is suggested. Please RSVP no later than Thursday, December 1st by contacting Bell at 303-748-7299 or via email at abell (at) denverrealestate (dot) com.
CTKD is part of the Community First Foundation which helps donors and non-profits come together to improve the quality of life in the metro Denver area. The foundation includes GivingFirst.org and Colorado Gives Day. For more information, visit www.givingfirst.org.
