Bennet: Enterprise, Partners Win $250,000 Grant to Support Denver Pay-for-Success Initiative to Reduce Homelessness

Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet announced today that Enterprise Community Partners, along with Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) and Social Impact Solutions, has won a $250,000 grant to advance a pay-for-success initiative to reduce chronic homelessness in Denver. The competitive grant from Nonprofit Finance Fund is funded by the Corporation for National and Community Services Social Innovation Fund. Denver's Housing to Health Initiative will provide housing to 300 chronically homeless people with serious primary and behavioral health challenges.

COLORADO ATTORNEY GENERAL COFFMAN PROVIDES OVER $7.7 MILLION IN RESTITUTION TO HOMEOWNERS OVERCHARGED BY...

Colorado Attorney General Cynthia H. Coffman announced today that her office has sent out more than 20,000 checks to homeowners who were improperly charged false and inflated foreclosure costs by foreclosure law firm Aronowitz & Mecklenburg, LLP. Attorney General Coffman contracted with a third-party Administrator to send out the payments totaling over $7.7 million. Homeowners eligible for these payments cured, reinstated, or entered a loan modification to stop a foreclosure initiated through Aronowitz & Mecklenburg.

Buck Votes to Reduce Burdensome Housing Regulations

The House passed by a vote of 263 to 162 H.R. 650, the Preserving Access to Manufactured Housing Act of 2015, a bill to protect the availability of financing for affordable manufactured housing sponsored by Rep. Stephen Fincher (R-TN). The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau released guidelines in 2013 that went into effect last year to expand the range of loan products considered to be “high-cost” under the Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act. H.R. 650 makes two changes to these regulations.

University of Colorado Boulder Provost Russell L. Moore today announced the appointment of Lori Bergen, dean of the J.
