The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless has been helping the homeless for nearly 25 years. We consider the definition of homelessness to be anyone who lacks a fixed, regular or adequate residence. More than 3.5 million Americans, including more than 1 million children, will seek lasting solutions to homelessness this year.

Englewood, Colo – February 5, 2007- The Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR), through its Housing Opportunity Foundation (CARHOF), is responding to weather-related emergency needs at three Denver area homeless shelters with a combined grant of $30,000. Sub-freezing temperatures, combined with frequent snow storms have forced thousands of additional homeless families and individuals to seek these services thus placing severe economic strain on the resources of all three organizations
