Free Educational Workshops Explore Mortgage Options Available To Homeowners

CENTENNIAL, Colo., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ — With Colorado’s foreclosure rates among the highest in the country, Affordable Interest Mortgage (AIM), a leader in the mortgage industry, is offering two workshops to help Denver homeowners understand how to leverage their mortgage equity while reducing foreclosure risks.

According to RealtyTrac, one in 326 Colorado households was in some stage of foreclosure in September. Affordable Interest Mortgage will host these workshops, free-of-charge, to show homeowners how they can better use their mortgage equity to maintain or improve their lifestyle, while potentially reducing liabilities and risk anxiety created by illness or job loss.

The first workshop will address Reverse Mortgage Education on October 24 at 1 p.m. The workshop will be led by David Olson , a Reverse Mortgage Specialist from AIM. The second workshop on November 13 at 6:30 p.m. focuses on the Asset Manager Accelerator Mortgage, and will be led by Kurt Rogers , president of AIM. Both workshops will be held in the conference room on the second floor at 8400 E. Prentice Ave. in Greenwood Village. The workshops are free and open to the public.

The first workshop will focus on Reverse Mortgages, one of the fastest-growing tools being used by seniors today. This non-recourse loan allows seniors age 62 and older to convert their home loans into cash. The workshop will cover the concerns and challenges of seniors today, the history and growth of Reverse Mortgages, misconceptions and myths surrounding Reverse Mortgages and what homeowners need to know to make an informed decision including home equity conversion mortgage facts, closing costs and HUD counseling.

The Asset Manager Accelerator Mortgage workshop will explain the history and growth of Asset Manager and what a homeowner needs to know to decide if it is right for them. Examples and easy-to-understand statistical analysis will be provided to demonstrate how Asset Manager could help individuals own their home faster without changing their lifestyle, have flexibility to make investments, be better prepared to handle emergencies so not to put their home at risk and have the tools to be financially secure for the future.

“The Asset Manager is sometimes called the mortgage of the future and can save you thousands in interest,” said Rogers. “Any money deposited into an Asset Manager checking account works to pay off a homeowner’s mortgage, while still being accessible at any time to pay other bills.”

For more information and/or to make reservations for either the October 24th or November 13th workshop, please call Affordable Interest Mortgage at 720.895.0500 or email k.rogers (at) aimortgage (dot) net .

“This educational workshop will provide helpful tools for consumers to save their home and money. Participants will not be asked to buy anything,” added Rogers.
