Boulder, CO – August 17, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Congressman Jared Polis, representing Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District, and Congressman Ed Perlmutter, representing Colorado’s 7th Congressional District, will host a Housing Fair Saturday, August 22nd from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Margaret Carpenter Recreation Center, 11151 Colorado Boulevard, in Thornton.
“Homeownership is an essential part of the American dream, which Congress is working to protect,” said Polis. “Many homeowners are not aware of the federal and local programs available to help them purchase or maintain their homes. This event will help answer questions and provide information to families facing foreclosure or who are concerned about their current housing and financial situation.”
Participants at the Housing Fair will be able to meet individually with lenders and HUD approved housing counselors; attend workshops on mortgage lending, foreclosure assistance and prevention, and new home ownership; and pick up information about homeownership resources in their community.
