WASHINGTON, DC – March 16, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Today, U.S. Congressman John Salazar announced $1,498,229 in funding to improve the Yampa Valley Regional Airport terminal building. On this provision, Congressman Salazar offered the following statement:

“Airports like Yampa Valley Regional Airport are lifelines for families, friends and businesses in rural Colorado. As a pilot myself, I know the importance of growing and maintaining our air service infrastructure. I’m glad to support this effort and I will continue to support efforts that maintain the safety and efficiency of our transportation system and create jobs.”

On this funding, Dave Ruppel, Yampa Valley Airport Manager offered the following comment:

“This grant allows us to complete the final phase of a three-phase development which brings us up to world class status as an airport. This will improve passenger flow, baggage handling and will generally be more functional. It will help create an airport that the community will be proud of.”
